advice on cleaning product (s) that remove mildew stains from white boat seats, including the stitching without harming the threads. Boat is stored outside with canvass cover at present time. Need a shed I know. Any and all advice will be appreciated. Ya'll have a great day and be safe on the water.

I have suggested this before and someone said they thought it would destroy the threads in the upholstery but I disagree. I suggest using Jomax. When mixed correctly with Clorox and water it only has 15% clorox. It doesn't even hurt plants. It will turn white epoxy paint yellow temporarily. It should be rinsed off in a couple of minutes after light scrubbing.

Jomax - Is this the name of the brand or just what you call the mixture? If name of brand, where can I pick some up from. I have used the white MR> Clean wipe pads with success, but not on threads because it won't get down in the groove. Maybe use your mixture with a toothbrush and rinse immediately might work. Willing to try. Tried the Mildew and stain remover from Starbright, not very impressive. Thanks.

Jomax is the name brand. You can find it at Russell Do-It Centers or Lowes and probably most hardware stores. It comes in quart or gallon. I usually mix up a 10 quart mix which consist of 1/2 quart of Jomax (shake well before pouring), 1 1/2 quarts of clorox or bleach, and fill the rest of your bucket to the 10 quart line with water. You might want to put some water in the bucket before adding Jomax and clorox. Spray it on with a garden sprayer or spray bottle, let it sit for a couple of minutes and then scrub lightly with a brush then rinse off. I use it for cleaning vinyl siding, my houseboat, and anything that is exposed to the elements. Let me know how it works.

My wife just used the Starbrite Mildew Remover on our seats last weekend and it worked really well. All she did was spray it on, let it sit and work for awhile and then rinse it off. It worked really well like that and probably would get the small places it missed if it was wiped off with a rag instead of just rinsing.

might be my problem is I didn't wait long enough. I sprayed it on, wiped it off. Next time will let set for awhile. Still going to try the other remedy too. Try on differant spots and may the best cleaner win.
