It appears my recent gambling success has led to me being blacklisted from our Pooltracker pool. The following is a true story. Wednesday afternoon I had completed my exhaustive research of this weeks "pool" games. With a newfound confidence, based on my recent 2 week unparalleled run, I carefully made my picks. Having completed my picks, I printed them out, put them in my briefcase so my wife wouldn't be aware of my gambling relapse, and took them home for my weekly forray into that gambling panacea, otherwise known as College Football. I sat on my couch, to nervous to even drink, and eagerly awaited the kickoff of each and every "pool" game. As the day progressed, once again, my refound gambling prowess resurfaced with wins from A&M, Ole Miss, texas..... need I go on? As the midnight hour approached, I went to bed with 11 victories and 1 final game still in progress. I was confident that this win total would at least get me an honorable mention in Bigfoots' eagerly anticipated results post on Sunday if not an outright win. I sprinted to my computer first thing this morning to see what kind of accolades Bigfoot was sending my way when suddenly, my mouth went dry, my head was dizzy and I felt like puking. BamaBob this, Jlazy that, and no mention of the notorious Lamont. I was further confused as my 11 wins should have at least earned me a tie for second and certainly some ego-boosting words in print from the great Bigfoot but, nothing. The wheels started turning. I immediately went back to Pooltracker to recheck my picks and when I got to Lamont's picks, there it was..... a big red "Incomplete." My first thought was Pooltracker erased my picks as I was making a mockery out of their pool but, really, they don't know me form Adam and someone has to win so, why would they be mad at me. Then it hit me like a bag of rocks. Who would have the most to gain by eliminating Lamont's picks? The answer is oh so obvious. Can you say BamaBob? First, He knows I am his only true competition and will shortly surpass him on my march to the top. Secondly, and more importantly, he knows I am an Auburn fan and, what better time to rub salt in the wound as his Tide remains undefeated and my Alma Mater is still searching for a way to make a first down. Yes, these Bama folks will use any means to win so, yes, I am accusing BamaBob of cheating by erasing my votes. The gauntlet has been laid down. What say you BamaBob?

hey lamont...this is all very funny...but I assume that you did attempt to put your picks in Wednesday....did you hit submit and see the green statement at the top verifying that your picks were complete?...did you check the picks matrix anytime after the Thurs. nite game...were your picks in then?

Don't know how it happened BigFoot. I printed out my picks Wednesday just like always and all the picks were "Blued" out like they were supposed to be but, I never checked back until this morning. I'm sure I screwed up somehow but, I don't know how. I assumed when it prrinted my picks, I had done everything correctly but, got busy and never really checked it. Oh well, you know what us losers say, "When my ship comes in, I'll probably be at the bus station."

Man you are worse than me. This pool thing has been fun...but let it be known...that BamaBob3 would rather come in last than cheat....however, I think that you should send the print-out to BIGFOOT and I vote for you to get your week 8 counted. Having said that, if we get still get a mulligan on 1 week, I plan to throw out week #3 ( the 1st week ). That should solidify my lead....but I may fall apart in the 3rd quarter just like Bama does every game...so keep the faith.

BamaBob- Hope you know I was kidding about the cheating part. After my 1st 2 weeks, even with a mulligan, I'm sucking wind. The pool is alot of fun though and I think we should all throw in a couple of bucks or beers for the eventual overall winner. However, since everyone got in at different times, we should not base it on total points, we should base it on winning percentages. Just my most humble opinion.

hey lamont....I sent you an e mail yesterday...I will be happy to put your week 8 in unless there are objections...as far as overall goes, I will probably declare an outright winner (all weeks played but 1 and 2) and a mulliganized winner requiring no more than 1 week missed for eligibility.....this has been fun and makes it more interesting keeping up with the games and following the matrix...since we are in the free pool, pooltracker only promises to update scores at the end of the day but so far they are updating the matrix as each game is finished --which is more fun.

while I was typing. It's all for fun...I certianly have no objection. Printing the picks is a good idea...could happen to someone else. It takes a little more thought when playing the spreads...but even then, like Kanas scoring with 45 seconds left you can get messed up. The only sure bet this last week was USC...Washington St. is worse than...well everyone I think.

I screwed up again. The 1st name in my email is different now and I have not changed it so, obviously, I didn't get your email. I will change my email address right after this post. Anywho, I'm really not concerned about not getting the credit I so richly deserve. It's not like I'm losing any money on it however, I am in this pool totally for the recognition and fame associated with my intellectually superior picks such as, my absolute "lock" taking Washington State and the points. And, if I ever take Georgia again, will someone just shoot me? Now, I must go and begin this weeks research. I thank you and BamaBob for y'alls concern.

I missed my picks a few weeks ago too. I tried to put them in on a Tuesday and the site wouldn't take them. When I went back Thursday, I was locked out because a game had started that I didn't know about. I'm trying to make a comeback, but I don't think there are enough weeks left...... unless the leaders make a similar mistake!
