Was hoping for a report that involved catching so many fish that you ran out of black salties, but I guess that report will have to do.

I'll be trying my luck at them in the Wind Creek area this weekend. Maybe I'll find those that were bending poles to the water.

I'm gonna give the bad reports along with the good. That way, everybody knows what's going on. The same sun don't shine on every dog's behind every day, certainly not on mine. But, I bet if you check those spots I mentioned this weekend you'll find stripes.

We certainly found the fish. We were between Wind Creek and the 280 bridge all day Saturday with lots of fish showing up on the finders, but only had a few bites with none of them ending up in the boat. Either the fish were as cold as I was and didn't want to eat, or I need to do a little more homework before the next trip.

It was a cold, cloudy day and we didn't land a single fish, but it was still fun as usual.

Sorry to hear you didn't put any in the box. I didn't fish this weekend, because I was building a fish cleaning table and I have 3 trips this week. I thought Saturday would have been good - seems like I have best luck on cloudy days. Glad to know you marked fish.

Also fished between Wind Creek and 280 bridge But it was Sunday afternoon,My first time ever to fish for stripes. Marked alot of fish , and caught my 1 st Lake Martin srtipe 28'' long, slow trolling a 20 ounce,yes 20 ounce jig I use in the Gulf.Plan on going this weekend bring some Mann's stretch 30's,
