Mixed-Bag-of-Nuts - LOL

Glad you caught some other species of bass as nothing like catching a 5 pound bass on a good or bad day that is a nice fish.

A good description for a trip with Maverick, mckaygmc, and BoatsRfun! LOL. We need to get out again soon and break our jinx. We may have to have a prayer vigil the night before we go.

Seriously, this coming weekend should be good - warmer cloudy weather moving in behind our current cold, high pressure situation. I've got two trips scheduled and will report on them.

Neighbor and I will be out Saturday afternoon. Might see you then,

We have given direct orders to shoot to kill and ask questions later on anyone messing with the spot tails - LOL.

Uh Oh. Guess I better check Academy for Kevlar coveralls. I'm glad the Parker has plenty of foam so I can stay afloat and limp back to the river channel.

See you Saturday.

THOUGHT YOU GUYS MIGHT WANT TO KNOW - IT IS THE BANANAS!!!
During a recent Derby at San Luis Res. in Los Banos Ca. we were fishing for striped bass. The bite for us was red hot even after a full moon. All the boats seemed to have action. At the weigh in I started to talk to all who had entered. Mostly all had smiles on their faces. Except for Rick Rodriguez and his two buddies. I asked how they did. Rick replied nothing. How can you have nothing; the bite was ok at worst. He said they had a problem. Was it your bait, speed depth, your fish finder it had to be something? He said one of my guests had a banana on the boat. Problem solved! LOL, have fun.
The story is copied from the following web site and it contains several more “banana aboard boats” theories. http://www.azinet.com/captjim/bananas.htm

Before last Summer I would have agreed with the Banana theory. We went trolling for King Fish and caught our limit by Noon. When we were cleaning the Boat out I discovered my Father had brought a Nanner on board. We then made sure we had a Banana every day we went out. Worked good for us...LOL

That's one of the many reasons why I've always loved Jimmy Buffet. His version of Steve Goodman's "banana republics" cannot be beat. JB is a songwriter, an author, and a helluva businessman. BTW, Jimmy's a stripe fisherman too!

Good vibes for this weekend. Saturday should be awesome.

Best,
Wes
