Never done striper fishing on LM but have to admit all the photos of the huge fish has provided good bait. Is the fishing still good in late April and who are the good guides? Out of state company coming and love to have him hook into one of these.

The fishing in April usually slows down for the bigger fish towards the end of the month. A friend of mine did pull a 38 last year with me about the third week in April so it can still be done. The fish are going towards the post spawn pattern usually at that time depending on weather/water temp/etc.. The bite for schoolies however can be really good as fish start to move back out onto the main lake and school back up together. This schooling activity leads to more competition between the fish causing feeding frenzies that lead to good fishing. I had several guide trips in late April where we literally loaded the boat with fish since the water was still at a low enough temperature where you could release the fish and keep fishing.
