Hope that its been so quiet because everyones trying to get all the work done, before its time to enjoy. I have been checking to see what the latest buzz was, and there aint none.

We came out all right through the flood here. I was in the shoals area working, while the water was rising . I kept looking at the water level online, and my son had to make 3 trips from Trussville to make me happy. It was his first flood at 18 years old, so he didn't understand the concept of move stuff off the piers and up near the house. I finally came home thurs night just so I could put an eyeball on the place and glad I did, everything but the ole aluminum boat was ok but it was about to float off.

I've been at our place a few days a week over the winter. We bought another company in St. Clair county so I'm up quite a bit. We always closed up and winterized the place in prior years. Everything is getting back to normal after the flood. Even the fishing is picking back up - I caught several crappie & bream yesterday. Hopefully we will have water soon, and gas is still affordable for the boats. Three weeks until the time changes! Be safe.

I went last Thursday night and stayed until yesterday. Wonderful 4 day weekend. I skied every day and I'm finally willing to admit that the water is cold and that a hot shower is an essential component to winter skiing. The weather was gorgeous most of the weekend and there weren't many boats out at all.
