If you don't know the lake hit the bridge pilings.. Great places all over the lake, but I'm keeping mine secret.. Bring a small cooler unless you have a lot of folks fishing.. the limit is 30/per person.

I figured that would be a good place to start. When you fish the bridges do you just fish jigs like you would anything else, or do you drop minnows down? When using live bait do you use floats? What depth do you fish at?

I like ultra lite stuff and start around 8' deep with a slip bobber..

That's a little styrofoam bobber from Walmart with a plastic cap that has hole thru the cap.. line (4#) thru the cap and bobber, small split shot about 18" down and crappie hook about 8" below the split shot.. Now you need a bobber stop.. I use a piece of shirt from a spinner bait, shorter the better, just enuff to stop above the bobber .. Move the stop to the depth you want to fish.. I would start at 8-10 feet, reel the whole mess up (should be able to cast the rig) and go for it with a minnow..

Or use a 1/16th oz jig, start with white... It this doesn't work, there is always dynamite..

I'm a 'year arounder' and ain't the lake's best fisherman, but still have fish in the freezer from last year.. and we eat a lot of fish..

Any comments from the pros??? Know you read these posts and would like to see if I got this boy off in the right direction..
