Due to locally heavy rainfall, spillway gates will be open at Logan Martin.

Special Operations Message
Effective - 2/27/2009

Heavy rainfall is forecast across the state today and into Saturday, with much of that rainfall predicted to impact areas along Alabama Power Company lakes; as a result, flood control operations are possible. Individuals with water-related equipment and facilities should be alert to changing conditions and be prepared to take the necessary steps to protect their property.

As far as the flooding, Ive noticed in years past that the fishing seems better the Spring and Summer after a flood or two.
