Wife cleaned up our 22' pontoon boat - compared 2 products - Starbright Mold and Mildew Stain Remover and MaryKate Mildew Remover - Marykate was purchased from Mark and Gregg at Clearwate Marine- no contest - Marykate is a 100 to 1 winner. Spray it on in full sunshine- wait 5 minutes - wipe off- then wash with soap and water. Gone, including along stiching- Wife threw a brand new bottle of Starbright in the garbage-

Please send your wife and the mildew remover over to my place. Can't get my wife to do the job!

In regards to boat - My wife has two duties- clean it up at first of year and drive on'off trailer (when needed). Otherwise, she gets to sit up front, drink some funny looking sissy drink and enjoy the view.

Rooster, Good info on MaryKate stuff. Always looking for a better way to clean boat seats each year. I've just joined Forum after sitting in for a year or so. I live on the lake full time over in Parker Creek area

Thanks. This stuff works. If need a supplier, use your search engine and type in "MaryKate Mildew Remover". Plenty of options.

Run a small electric fan under your boat cover, assuming you use a boat cover. Fan will keep air circulating and eliminate mildew. Probably won't work too well without a cover. LOL

that would work, but being a weekender right now, I would be scared of tip over and fire to leave on. What I am going to try is to build small rectangular window frames with screen only on them to leave in the door openings so air can circulate. Screen will keep varmints out, hopefully. We'll see. Thanks, Rooster

I would suggest using a cover with an inlet (with hose extended to inside bottom of boat and an outlet (with no hose). As the air in the boat heats up, it will draw cooler outside air in the inlet and the warmer air in the boat will go out the outlet. The air will circulate most of the day and dry out any moisture under the cover.
For cleaning really bad molded surfaces I would suggest Jomax (follow mixing instructions)

Yes, the MaryKate works pretty well... That's a good wife you have there...
