Great going on the big fish. I appreciate the release as well. My hats off to you and your client for getting a picture and putting her back where she belongs.

Awesome catch, Wes!
We've been struggling to figure out the stripers' spring pattern on the south end of the lake. Few marks and even fewer fish willing to commit. Tough fishing this month. Looks like you've unlocked the mystery in a big way!
Like the othey guys, I admire you for letting a beast like that go back to the water. I'm afraid that if I caught such a trophy, it would probably go on the wall.
Thanks for sharing the pics and the great information. Super job!
Jeff

No need to even keep it if you are getting a mount made. Just take a picture and the measurements. Also a fish that size is not as good table fair as the 8 to 10 pounders. Not to mention the higher concentrations of mercury.

Great fish, thanks for letting her go. Maybe she will make it to 60.

The exact venue I was describing to a buddy while crappie fishing on Saturday.. Fished below the shoals couple of years ago and broke off several very big stripes.. You guys know if I can launce a pretty heavy bass boat at Jay Bird yet?? Long ass boat ride from the house up river..
