Does anyone have pictures of fish that are in Lake Martin? Caught a small(12 inches long) fish today with a long slender body with a yellowish tint and vertical darker alternating lines(almost black and about 1/2 inch wide). The fins on the bottom side were a red/-orangey color. Any help identifying this fish would be appreciated. Also, does anyone have pictures of different species of fish found in Lake Martin that could posted on the forum? If not, does anyone know where such pictures could be obtained? Thanks!

It's a yellow perch. I caught one last year. I had not idea Lake Martin had them. They are more commmon in the Northern States.

Thanks for the information on the fish. The picture of the yellow perch is the exact fish I caught.

Might I add that if you ever get a chance to catch these in numbers (and of decent size), you will have a delicious meal. These perch and the other member of the family (the walleye) are INCREDIBLE table fare! DELICIOUS!!

Very sweet meat indeed. Makes putting up with the numerous small bones worth it.
