Where the fishes is??? I went way up sandy today and didn't find any. Got any suggestions? I heard from a friend's wife that they went up river yesterday and didn't catch any, just caught sunburn.

They were at our Green Monster Light this past weekend. I had about 12 around the light Friday night and a couple Sat night. Caught an 8 and 10 pounber off the dock along with some spotted bass, crappie, white bass and a hydrid. I would suggest trying to hit some of these lights at night in Sandy Creek. I use a bucktail and let it sink for 5 to 10 seconds then reel. They should be around these lights until the end of May but they may head deeper soon.

A little lesson in striper fishing that I learned long ago is to take what is told to you about where fish are and are not with a grain of salt. Just because someone tells you that they are not there does not mean that they are not there just merely that they could not catch them. With that being said I took my girlfriend Sunday for about two hours and caught 2 schoolies and a 20, 21 and 24 pounder. The fish are there you just have to put your time in.

Yeah, I just said that. I went up the river and marked some fish. I had a reel problem and couldn't do too much. I think I have learned a valuable lesson...don't grease the drag washers in a daiwa reel. My bait was pulling drag and it was a jig!
