I caught three striper around 10 pounds and some catfish on cut gizzard shad. Then the current picked up and they quit biting. Does it normally get muddy up river when the generation shows up. This was my first trip up there.

the water does get muddy but usually the fish bite better when there is current. I fished today also and caught fish from daylight until ten but, from ten to 1130 I was drawing fish on the lowrance but they were not biting. caught six and the biggest was 16. most were upriver.
