This may be a dumb question but is it OK to pressure wash pontoons?

Get you some Toon Bright and spray them before you pressure wash and they'll look pretty nice. Muratic Acid works good, but don't use it unless you are very familiar with it.

Would be glad to do your work. We can work on most, and would appreciate the business. Send me an email and let me know our mutual contact.

Thanks.

Cat, I would never contradict you but I will supplement your answer. MaryKate also has a great pontoon cleaner. You brush it on with a paint brush and pressure wash it off. They have different products for fiberglass hulls and pontoons. We used it on a friend's boat that had not been trailered in six years and it worked great - removed the water line and everything. So far it hasn't eaten any holes in the pontoons either.

That is why I said "If you are not familiar with" in the answer. Should not have even post here on this thread really. We will use Muratic Acid. It takes TWO people with mask, one spraying and one washing just a few seconds behind each other. Works well, but DON'T play well with others. Sorry, I will leave this thread alone. Sometimes, I over think the answer... Sorry.

I restore rare and classic boats, many that have been under water for years. The Mary Kate On & Off sold at West Marine is the best bang for the buck.

It works well on lime and rust oxidation just the things we have here in the south on our freshwater lakes.

It is a acid and you do need to use it with a mask.

The ideal way to use it is whit a positive pressure system. It works best if used in the early morning or late late eave if you don't have a cool place to use it.

It will evaporate in the heat and leave you where you started.

But it is to me, hands down, the best.

I recoverd up a 1959 Aristocraft that had been sunk since 1970 and was just a blistered mess of rust scales. 2 applications of On & Off and it's paint was like it just came from the Atlanta show room 39 years later.
