I have a 240cs "Stingray". The original prop is 19x14.5 (3) blade, I tried a 18x14.5 (4) blade which really gave less performance. I don't know the gear ratio but it is factory set. I am looking for faster plane off, I am not really worried about top end speed. With 6 regular size adults and medium gear (coolers, chairs, ect.)I sometimes cannot plane off at all. I have installed 9" trim tabs as well, these help tremendously but with boat loaded it will still not plane off. I have not exceeded the weight limit so ..... can anyone help. New size prop ??

What engine/drive do you have? Is the engine running properly?

225HP I/O mercruser, Alpa 1. The engine runs fine.

How are you loading the boat? You might need to redistribute the weight more evenly, especially if you have a full fuel tank.

Yes, check weight shift and size of bumpers, as the weight shifts.

Do yourself a favor>>> Take your boat to a mechanic and let them check it out for you-- You have been talking to CAT, so let him have a looksee. He knows horsepower and ratios. Something is definitely wrong- You said the motor runs fine, but if it is, then prop slippage might be your answer. MY 2 cents worth.

The answer is "more power".... Paging Dr. CAT, paging Dr. CAT - you are needed in the transplant room - patient reports labored breathing, lack of strength - forced air induction is needed, please respond STAT.
