I have a 06 leisure island pontoon 19' 50hp mercury The stering is very hard going stright after you turm left or right it is normal but very hard to turn from the stright position. Anyone have a suggestion or know someone I could take it to for repairs

I would not drive it until it was fixed. It could cod lock or the cable could break and you will not be able to steer. Saw that happen once and two guys went to the hospital.

Had the same problem with mine. Evedently the plastic lining inside of the steering cable wears out particularly at the bends and causes the binding condition. Was advised by forem to have the steering cable replaced. Problem solved.
