Let us all observe a moment of silence as a trickle down effect has begun with our great lake. Instead of following guidelines they seem to be following our past averages and taking the lake down ahead of schedule........

What a great year it was though, maybe with these tropical storms coming, the levels may bounce back up for an hour or two......

Alabama Power might be anticipating the storms that are coming our way and drawing the lake level down. I'd rather the lake be lower than flooding. I hate seeing the summer coming to a close, it means going back to my real job, on the road again for ESPN.
The problem is I'll be burning it on both ends between Spider Be Gone and College GameDay, but I can't complain, it's work.

Yes, the show opens in Hotlanta with Alabama vs Virginia Tech. If anyone is interested in seeing how we produce the show, let me know and I'll give you VIP treatment and the nickel tour. It's pretty cool to see the mobile production truck (about 15 million in equipment in it) and what all it takes to put the show together. This will be my 18th year doing College GameDay Show. I am 1 of 4 original engineers on the show.
