He did not show up. However, he did call on the phone! As it turned out, the tank belongs in a 43' SeaRay. I, and I would assume most of us expected it to be a more managable size. Maybe like 20 gallons or something less that 60 anyway. Because of the extensive work and labor he went through to remove the tank, we decided it would not be wise to screw around with trying to fix it. I think he had another made from aluminum from Jackson Metal Works in Jackson Alabama. The boat is on Lake Martin.

No fix was available after further investigation. The crack extended into the inside corner of the “L” shaped 121 gallon tank, and then down another seam. After talking with the manufacture, they revealed their sort comings in the manufacturing of the polyethylene tank. It started out the tank was designed .250” thick …to .300 etc..to now super heavy duty .500, adding some 31 lbs. to the weight along with more stability. I made the purchase of a new polyethylene tank after they deducted $400 from the Sea Ray price.
I have played around with the weld repair process, thanks to Moeller tanks. They sent me some blocks of polyethylene and I certainly do believe repairs can be obtained. Thanks for interest Rooster and to Cat for the info.
