Ford needs to eliminate the Mercury brand. Mercury cars are either expensive Fords or less expensive Lincolns. Mercury is simply a rebadged clone of Ford vehicles.

I watched Ford assemble the Ford Ranger truck a few years ago and down the same assembly line came the Mazda truck. It was interesting to watch at the end how one became a Ford and the other a Mazda truck simply with a different dash, grill, and name plate. All the mechanical and body parts were identical.
