Just a note to let you know that older model boats with foam filled floors where non-closed-cell foam was used could add unnecessary weight to your boat and eliminate floatation if the foam is saturated with water.
On some boats you can inspect the saturation of the foam by finding the holes in the floor where the foam was put in and digging out enough to determine if it is wet or not.
From the age of most of the boats that need floor and transom wood replacement that I have seen, 20 years seems to be the average life unless it has been very well taken care of.
This is not an advertisement, just a help note.
