Good morning, pcs. The HOBOs are alive and well and we continue to actively and enthusiastically represent our members around the lake. As an advocacy group for the lake we are currently very involved in the relicensing process for Martin Dam, which will culminate next year with APCo's filing for the license renewal. BTW, the next relicensing meeting is scheduled in Alex City at CACC on September 14 @ 9AM--be there, you'll learn a lot about what we've been doing.
As any volunteer organization, we need volunteers, especially computer literate, website maintaining types. Keeping our website up to date has been a chore and as you can see some of the routine updates slide by. The HOBOs are probably more active now than we've ever been, but many of the activities are more mundane, behind the scene meetings, etc. Saw recently someone in Washington politics said that there's nothing like a good crisis to stimulate interest--thank goodness we have plenty of good clean water and no immediate crisis on the lake.
Thanks for your interest.
