I fondly remember those trips tp Pop’s Shack south of Auburn before Tallapoosa County went wet. Pickled eggs and hot sausages in huge jars on the counter and ice cold beer. And that glittering long barrel pistol (most likely a .38 special) on the shelf behind the counter. No passport required, just convince Pop you were of age. The pizza at the War Eagle Supper Club was rather tasty too.
