We are not far from Martin Dam, a little bit east of the dam. By boat, if you pass Chimney Rock on your right and keep going west a little ways you will go into a big open part of the lake and on the right is an island. The Dixie Sailing Club is on the other side of this island, behind it, looking west. Straight across from this island, looking east, there is a three level house with a bright blue porch roof and a boat house with blue roof. That is my place and the island is directly across the water from me.
Looking from my house, the eagle's nest is more to the left side of the island, up about 3/4 of the treeline in the top of a dead pine tree.
Hope that helps. If you get up close to the island, you can't see much because it is so high but head on over towards where our house is and with good binoculars, you should be able to see the eagle and her babies. The eaglets are solid black and pretty big but I haven't seen them fly yet. Momma eagle is in the nest off and on throughout the day.
Good Luck. Let me know if you see them. :)
