Just wanted to clarify a couple of things. "drunk boater hits cliffs" was not a good idea on subject line...but that is how it appeared to my husband who was the first on the scene. Normally I don't form hasty opinions until I know the facts. In this case, the facts that I knew compelled me to draw what I thought was an obvious conclusion.
Of course it is true that I did not know all the facts surrounding this accident and thus, I regret expressing my opinion in this forum. I actually had no idea that so many people would read my post and react to it in this way.

We checked on this man's condition at the hospital later that evening and were relieved to hear that he had been released and I am very glad to know that he is recovering and wish only the best for him.
