I also have USAA and have always had good luck and get reasonable rates, but have heard the same thing about storm damage on the gulf. I flew with a guy a few weeks ago that is still trying to get a fair settlement from Ivan. He finally got a lawyer involved is now making progress. It was not a problem with lack of adjusters, but a problem with the company not honoring their contract. I too was very sad to hear this. This person said many other major insurers were also stonewalling and were not honoring contracts without lawyers getting involved.
