The Drought Emergency / Burn Ban was lifted on Tuesday for all 40 counties, but a Fire Alert status is in affect. This means that AL Forestry will issue permits, but advise that extreme caution should be taken when burning. If your fire is such that it does not require a permit, you may burn with caution, but always contact your local fire department for guidance. You can view all the details at : http://www.forestry.alabama.gov/Drought/afc_news_071007.htm
