I have long pointed out the economic illiteracy of the left which combined with their relative ignorance or willful ignoring of history makes them a very dangerous segment of society. They are dangerous because they can vote....well, except the liberals in Palm Beach County, they can vote two or three times in Chicago and usually do, they are often part of the 49% that pay no federal income taxes and they believe in the fiction of government whereby everyone lives at the expense of everyone else.

That is not to say that every leftist is economically illiterate but the poll clearly demonstrates that they are much more likely to be so than a conservative/libertarian. I do wonder how many of them answer more from an ideological perspective than from ignorance. What I mean is do they answer a question incorrectly not so much because of their lack of knowledge or incorrect understanding but from the perspective of this is what I wish it to be? We do know that much of what they believe is based on emotion and not facts.

As Ronald Reagan said, "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so."
