Lifer, I never saw the alien saucers or the aliens. However, another interesting fact is that our squadron was activated in 1962 and was actually phased out of the inventory in 1965. It was short lived and a tremendous loss of money. I guess part of the reason for closing was the result of three of the missiles blowing up in the silo. There were no warheads on the missiles at the time, and luckily, there were no injuries to personnel. And Hodja you are right, I am getting "old" at 76 , and still going strong an enjoying my children, my grandchildren, and Lake Martin. While it is a little early, Merry Christmas to all.
