I think they all get big heads when then realize the amount of power their position gives them and the tendency is to start to believe their own press. The big difference between the conservatives and the Dems is when exposed the Reps are truly ashamed and willing to take the consequenses of their actions. The Liberal left are shameless and will do anything to retain their position i.e. Sen Menendez, 8 years and still costing taxpayer money should have been in jail with his buddy long ago. And even amid this his party refuses to denounce him and tell him to step down. That is truly deplorable.
