It is amazing how quickly the retail industry changes these days. What used to be a model of success, like the VHS and dvd rental stores, have been put out of business by cable Tv, Netflix, and the like. Big box stores like Best Buy are on life support, and it is hard to find a Books a Millionor Barnes and Noble any more. It will be interesting to watch what the sales tax decision does to or for the typical boutique operation. Chances are a few, maybe not a lot, will forego the sterile Amazon experience for the personal attention one gets at a local store. My daughter manages such a store so my vote is shop local!!
