Weather and long-term climate are two different but related things. Please tell that to proponents of Globaloney that sieze on every heat wave, hurricane or tornado to scare the he!! out of gullible kids making them think the world is coming to an end.
As for El Nino, 2019 was indeed an El Nino year and continues to somewhat impact the weather in the northern hemisphere to a lesser degree than when sea temps were higher in the spring and summer 2019. Not as strong as the El Nino in 2015-2016 but still happened.
