We have a couple of those that hang around our place. My dog, which is getting pretty old just barked at it from the back deck, when she figured it wasent leaving she walked all the way down to the water to run it off. I remember the clacker things too, them things could hurt if they slipped out of your hand, dont ask me how I know.
