I live in Bham as well and keep my boat stored at River North Marina, it is the closest marina to you, but it is not the closest to the most popular areas of the lake, if you want to be close to popular areas, I would suggest the Ridge which is another russell marina, or Kawaliga. The ridge is very close to Chimney Rock and most of the lake restaurants are on that side of the lake. It really is all just about personal preferance. River north isn't as nice and fancy as some of the other marinas, but it is convenient for me.
