LOL GF.  I had the same question when I first read it so at least I know I am not alone.  The doh! moment occurred when I realized that the people with Costco AMEX cards use them at other places and not just Costco.  Makes you wonder what will happen with those Costco AMEX cards and how many will drop AMEX altogether.  

Would also be interesting to know how much of Costco's sales are with Costco AMEX cards.  My AMEX cards are not the Costco version but I always use them when I go there.
