One problem I have with a motor 10 or more hp is weight. I don't live on the lake fulltime, therefore I have to remove the motor from the jon boat and store inside my shop. The 6hp weighs around 60 pounds, but weight goes up quickly with more horsepower. From all your comments, I may have to ride slower or the wife and I need to lose weight.

I will see what a 9 or 10 weighs. Thanks for your feedback.
