Actually it is a quart total, based on 4 people. A quart of oysters depending on size is usualy about 24.

Better yet, I like Cokman's gallon idea, as you know the old saying about Oysters and after being married for 20 years I need all the help I can get with my wife.

JAWS - The ingredients are per person, other than the oysters.

Also the new potatoes are 3 per person, not three pounds. Could be 3 lbs if you have about 8 people.
