In addition, have you priced lake property in Georgia? First off, throw out Lanier and Alatoona, over-crowded cesspools. Prices at Oconee, Burton, Hartwell, Blue Ridge are at least 30 to 40% higher than Martin. We priced them all before looking at Martin and could not believe the relative bargains at Lake Martin and, in my opinion, there is no comparison in beauty, quality of water, etc. Also, and most importantly, no Chucks at afore-mentioned Georgia lakes. Nuff said!
