Hopefully it wont be too far down the road before i can start shopping (5 years or so). However, if prices climb too high before I can get there, it is probably just as well. I have never been a fan of the manor or attitude of the rich. Right now, Lake Martin land owners are typically pretty well off, but most of them still worked hard to get where they are. If property prices continue to rise, the cost of ownership will exceed the returned value for all but the society types. I mean I love the lake, but regarless of how many millions I have, I would not pay 2 or 3 mil. to have a nice house there. I could get a Carribbean mansion for that. Then i could still boat and fish, but i could also snorkel and dive.
