The Smith reservoir dilemma isn't like our situation on the Tallapoosa River. Consider the differences for the respective watersheds for Smith compared to Martin and then add the continuous minimum flow requirement downstream of Martin at Thurlow Dam--no comparison on the Warrior River. Fortunately, the combined reservoir storage on the Poosa of which Martin is the biggie, can accommodate downstream demands much more readily than Smith which essentially stands alone to control water storage for the Warrior River system's downstream needs.
