They wanted to try back in 1999, after G. Cecil had proved that a restaurant operated at the Kowaliga location could make a lot of money. But he wouldn't back out of the lease, and wouldn't let them jack up the remaining 8 years without a fight.

Then one night after a final discussion, the old place mysteriously caught on fire. Funny how they managed to save the statue, and some of the decor that had been inside, but the building was nothing but ashes. Even funnier that the FD was ordered to extinguish a smoldering attic fire by using giant fans.
