They got me last year, received a letter from my mortgage company that I had to buy the coverage. Did any of you read the article a few weeks ago about this company in south Florida that hired an Ex FEMA guy & they have gotten Condo's on Gulf Shores, FL & all up the east coast out of the flood zone & had it approved by FEMA. Some of the condo's have gotten millions from FEMA from floods but they are zoned out of the flood zone now so their flood insurance is a small % of what it should be. This cost is passed on to the small homeowners like us to pick up the bill.
