Bill I'm surprised you don't use your same logic about the people downstream as you do with people who bought seasonal lots. Why don't you just say that the people that bought downstream knew that flooding could happen, fact is you seem to care more for what happens downstream than you do about what happens on the lake itself. Fact is the water did rise rapidly, but the shoreline widens more and more as the lake fills that it would take alot more rain to ever reach a level of 522. Besides the last draw down that APC did lowered the lake approx. 4ft. and the people downstream did not flood. And one more thought what did the people downstream do before the dam was built.when all the water went downstream and none was held back? Did they get flooded then? I will admit I'm not as familiar with the run-off downstream only that Gorgas is the main source of the lake drying up every year, not the drought.
