My experience is this: T-Mobile is good if you are west of the power lines in Blue Creek and it gets better the closer you get to hwy 63 past Windemere and the Ridge because that is where the antenna is located. Verison is very good because their antenna is located accross the street from the Lake Martin Mini Mall on HWY 63. If you are thinking about Verison, consider whether you want a tri-band phone or all digital. Tri-band phones are capable of receiving an analog signal although the single is not very good when the phone has to switch to this frequency.

Bottom line, none of them are good everywhere but Verison is my choice as of right now. I don't know what the merger of AT&T Wireless and Cingular will do for lake coverage yet but still Verison is about the best overall. Forget Sprint unless you want to roam on an analog signal when you are not in there network. Sprint is great in metro areas and highways when their network is available
