The DECATUR DAILY had an interesting editorial on the recent election in Birmingham. It is no secret that the city of Birmingham's voting population is predominantly Black. Yet, there was a lot of "Uncle Tom" accusations against the "light skinned' (Harry Reed term) candidate accusing him of being too close to the white community.

The winner was darker in color and was a former member of the Birmingham Politbureau. It's no secret that he was close to the former mayor who is going on "paid vacation" in the federal confinement system.

Discrimination can be mean within the black community.
