I often wonder what might have happened in the presidential election had Dr. James Dobson and his followers in the Evangelical movement had not stated that they could not support Gov. Romney because of his Mormon religion. I am persuaded that this was a major factor in John McCain's rise as the Republican nominee.

Now, we have a rank amatuer as our leader who has no experience in governing and financial affairs. Romeny at least was the Governor of a Democratic State (Massachusets) and was very succesful in that role. He also was strong in the economy and could also manage major projects such as the Olympics. If I recall, was he not a founder of Staple (it might have bee Office Depot)? I'll take his resume any day over that of McCain or Obama.

Within the last few days, we are hearing about tax dollars being spent on aborptions ex USA; a Presidential order to close Guantanamo: and ridiculous components of the $875B "improve the economy" program being considered by Congress ($300M for birth control devices, etc.). Not to mention, 4M new jobs. I also heard on the news today that first priority for hiring for these new construction projects will be to the disadvantaged and minorities.

If OBL were captured this week, what would be his fate? A cup of tea; no interrogation; don't worry about going to Guantanamo. If a member of our armed forces were to execute him at capture, I suspect that this young man or woman would be charged with murder.

Folks, we have a screwed up mess in this country and it's going to get worse if Pres. Obama continues with the current strategy of "full steam ahead" to fulfill campaign promises. Any changes need to be addressed as to: 1. What will this do for our security? 2. What will the impact be on our economy. and 3. We may have to temporarily give up some personal freedoms to achieve security against terrorism. Opps, we can't say "war on terror".
