I think that Dr. Laura and Rush Limbaugh pretty much summed up this award.

Dr. Laura Schlessinger contends that President Obama should reject the Nobel Peace Prize — and what the prize has come to mean.
The popular talk show host opened her program Friday by telling her 9 million listeners that she believes the Nobel committee has become an anti-American organization that has sought to use its awards to influence world opinion and American policy to its own ends.
She noted that in 1994, one of the three recipients to whom it awarded the Peace Prize was Yasser Arafat, for his “efforts to promote peace in the Middle East through the promotion of terrorism? Through the encouragement of the Intifada? Through his corruption and theft of Palestinian assets for his own personal benefit?" she asked rhetorically.
Following the chronology, she then recalled that in 2002, one year after 9/11, it awarded the laureate to Jimmy Carter, “for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy [never mind about his love affair with Cuba] and human rights and to promote economic and social development."
In 2005, she noted, the committee awarded the laureate to Mohammed ElBaradei and the International Atomic Energy Commission for their work in preventing the development of nuclear arms. "Since then, North Korea has developed and tested nuclear weapons, and Iran is much farther along in its nuclear weapons program," she said.
"My opinion is that this award is a political move to encourage Obama along the line of thinking like Neville Chamberlain rather than Winston Churchill in dealing with the world’s tyrannical and terrorist states. I encourage President Obama to reject this award," she argued.
"As the mother of a young man who has joined the Army to defend our country against our enemies, I am alarmed at any form of encouragement of our government to soften its stance against the world’s tyrannical and terrorist states," she added.
"Mr. President, turn down that award," she concluded.
Rush Limbaugh
The Nobel Peace Prize Committee "suicide bombed" itself with its continuing leftward tilt in awarding the prize to President Barack Obama, says radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh.
Limbaugh made the comment in an e-mail to Newsweek's Gaggle blog and Politico that also said, “The Nobel gang just suicide bombed themselves. Gore, Carter, Obama, soon Bill Clinton. See a pattern here? They are all leftist sell-outs.
George Bush liberates 50 million Muslims in Iraq, Reagan liberates hundreds of millions of Europeans and saves parts of Latin America.
Limbaugh says “Obama gives speeches trashing his own country and for that gets a prize, which is now worth as much as whatever prizes they are putting in Cracker Jacks these days.”
