MM, I always enjoy your posts because of your talent to articulate the issues and dramatically get to the point.  However, I have to take exception to your conclusion that absent affirmative action Obama would have done well to work at a car wash.  Back when I was a teenager in the fifties, I washed cars here in Dadeville at the Standard Oil service station (currently Bob's Fine Foods) and Southside Service Station (currently Chevron Station of the "pink bicycle robber" fame) on the weekends for quite a number of years.  From that experience, I can tell you for certain that Obama does not possess the mental disciple nor the physical coordination to wash a car.  IMHO, the latest videos of him chewing gum (nicorette?) in a classless manner at the D-Day commemoration cast doubt on his ability to chew and walk simultaneously.
