Was on the lake Sunday and met what appears to be a really decent guy and his son. They were in a beautiful new cat type boat that made me drool. I believe the boat was about 29 feet long give or take. In talking with them, I learned that the boat has twin 10 cylinder engines and is capable of about 140mph. What has been bothering me is that I believe people should have and enjoy what they can afford. I am not a fan of the boat law - think there is way too much government intervention in our lives as it is. I also believe this gentleman will be responsible with this boat but what scares me is that others with boats like this may not be so much. I'm usually a sitting duck out on the lake in my pontoon boat and I can't help but be somewhat disturbed by the idea of the wrong person operating a water rocket.
Don't have a clue about what the right thing to do about all this is but needed to unload. Thanks for listening.
