Recently I've had some passengers that are heavier than me and most that ride my boat.

I noticed over the weekend that where the ladder attaches to the
platform is slightly loose now and one of the screws/bolts now has
spider web cracks coming out from it.

The ladder currently still works for me and the kids etc. but what should be done to shore it up/fix it?

Should I install a "plate" on the underside of the fiberglass to
distribute the weight across a larger surface area? What material do I
get, something hopefully from Home Depot or Lowe's?

Limited do-it-yourself skills here, easy suggestions needed.
