And I should care what you think ..... WHY????? I too have lived and worked in Europe.
I know a lot of Southerners, have a lot of Southern friends - everything from people who have done some work on our house to the women I paint with, to my neighbors, and other people I have lived around and worked with over the years. I've been married to one for 37 years. Lots of them have lived and worked up north too. My being a yankee is not an issue for them, so I really can't imagine why it would be an issue for you. They know me, you do not. You don't agree with me, don't like my "air" you are free to skip my posts. And I won't even mention that "cliquishness" of some Southerners who seem to think they are superior to everyone else.
If you are as worldly as you claim to be, you would know that as much as the percieved notion by some Southerners that Northerners have an air of superiority, some Northerners percieve that Southerners also have an air of superiority and are very cliquish about being from the South. In my view, neither makes you better, it just makes you different. Every place has it's plusses and minuses; good people, and jerks.
I'm now old enough to have lived and been judged by all kinds of people, and I certainly don't lose any sleep over any of it. I'm too busy enjoying life.
And Hodja, you better behave or I'll sic my Yankee friends on you. :-)
